About
The Infrastructure and Projects Division is responsible for initiating and advancing projects carried out in conjunction with the private sector using the PPP (Public Private Partnership) model. The projects currently implemented are concentrated in the fields of transportation, water, energy, construction and the environment.
Through the ministries’ accountants, the division is responsible for implementing the budgets of: the Ministry of Transportation, the Ministry of Energy, and the Water Authority. In addition, by virtue of its designation, the division facilitates financial processes connected to the division’s ministries.
Duties:
- The division facilitates investments in projects currently valued at billions of shekels. The division is responsible for all stages of the projects including:
- Locating and initiating new projects and examining their compatibility with the PPP model.
- Publishing tenders and selecting concessionaires.
- Oversee the financial closing of projects with the financing elements.
- Supervise the projects’ establishment and operation stages.
- Collection and retention of institutional information. Prepare structural procedures and shelf agreements for PPP projects in order to improve efficiency for future tender processes.
In addition, by virtue of its designation, the division oversees financial processes related to the division’s ministries.
