Eliaz Luf has been heading the Division of Scientific International Relations in the Ministry of Science and Technology since August 2020.
Luf has a B.A. in General History and Political Science from the University of Haifa, an M.A. in Political Science from the National Security College and the University of Haifa, and a M.B.A. in Business Administration.
Following his undergraduate studies, Luf was accepted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' cadet course, after which he served in a variety of positions in Israel and abroad as part of the Israeli diplomatic services.
He began his diplomatic career on a mission in Warsaw, Poland, and then at the Israeli Embassy in Mexico City. On his return to Israel, he held a number of positions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' headquarters in Jerusalem, including Director of the Ministry's cadet course and the position of Director of the Department of Contracts and Control.
Later, Luf went on to serve abroad as Deputy Head of Mission at the Israeli Embassy in Ottawa, Canada. Upon his return, Luf lead the Department of Export Control at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
