Minister of Health Edelstein and Minister of Culture and Sport Tropper agreed tonight on an roadmap for bringing cultural activities back to life.
Minister Edelstein: "It is time that people could enjoy cultural events. However, cultural events can only resume if each and every one of us follows the Ministry of Health's instructions".
Minister Tropper: "I am happy we succeeded today in reviving cultural activities and that they will get back to normal life soon. This is a very significant step we achieved after many efforts with other agencies. This is the first and highly important step on the way to resolve the crisis. I wish to thank the Minister of Health, Mr. Yuli Edelstein, for his partnership. I pledge to continue the efforts to bring cultural activities back to normal".
Minister of Health Yuli (Yoel) Edelstein and Minister of Culture and Sport Hilli Tropper agreed tonight (Sunday, 24.5) on a roadmap to resume cultural activities, starting 14.6.
The roadmap will be carried out as follows:
It will be possible to hold theater shows and performances in event halls across the country.
Events can be held at a maximal capacity of 75 percent.
Required: Social distancing, wearing masks, and maintaining hygiene.
Tickets for shows could only be purchased online.
A party of people who ordered several tickets in a single booking can be seated together in a capsule of sorts. One seat will be maintained between capsules.
There will be no intermissions during shows.
Body temperature will be taken before entering the complex.
* It should be noted that if there are more than 500 people, the permission of the Minister of Culture and Sport's Director General after consultations with the Ministry of Health is required.
* Regarding visits to museums, it has been agreed that starting 27.5, the capacity will be increased to one visitor per 7 square meters, as opposed to one visitor per 15 square meters required today.
