The disease may harm the course of the pregnancy, lead to more severe illness in pregnant women and induce premature delivery
Physicians from the Israel Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology, together with physicians from the National Council for Gynecology, Genetics and Neonatology and the Israeli Society for Mother and Embryo's Health, have drawn a position paper concerning the link between coronavirus disease, vaccine, and male and female fertility.
Specialist physicians stress that there is no scientific evidence to support the claim that fertility is compromised as a result of vaccination through the recognized vaccines.
They further stress the coronavirus disease may harm the course of the pregnancy, cause more severe illness in pregnant labor and induce premature delivery. Therefore, it is important to vaccinate in order to prevent coronavirus infection.
