Supervision

The Central Supervision Unit of the Civil Administration in Judea and Samaria is responsible for applying law enforcement and security legislation in Area C, by emphasizing the application of planning and construction laws regarding illegal construction in both Israeli and Palestinian areas, in addition to preserving state lands and military zones.

The unit performs a special function, in light of the nature of its work that includes all areas in Judea and Samaria, including the field of environmental protection, supervision of quarries, disconnecting illegal water lines, forest preservation and more.

The unit also oversees the activities of the Civil Administration’s Land Registry Office in Judea and Samaria. Along with other responsibilities, examinations of land status are conducted as part of a survey procedure aimed at locating state land in the area, for declaration as such by the Commissioner of Government Property. In addition, the unit is entrusted with examining the borders of historical declarations through advanced technological means in efforts to improve accuracy.

• Monitor illegal construction throughout the region, including military zones

• Conducting land surveys in accordance with state directives
• Supervision and enforcement of laws regarding environmental protection
• Supervision and enforcement of laws regarding illegal mining, quarrying and water drilling
• Law enforcement regarding the illegal transportation of materials and equipment in Judea and Samaria
• Monitoring of illegal telecommunication and electrical lines, as well as the installation of solar panels
• Taking necessary measures in regard to illegal fuel stations
• Implementation and enforcement of the Road Supervision Law
• Supervision of forests, archaeological sites, nature reserves and national parks
