National Intelligence Directorate
About
The National Intelligence Directorate in the Ministry of Intelligence is responsible for formulating the national multi-year intelligence assessment for the State of Israel. The directorate's objective is to be responsible for producing civil intelligence at the national-strategic level, in order to inform the activities of the government and the ministries and to raise alarms against threats that may challenge Israel's national resilience.
The directorate works to distill information in order to identify and characterize global trends that may impact national resilience and provide warning about them. The directorate's goals are realized by creating independent research products, cooperating with similar organizations and research institutions, data mining in the ministry's technology lab and nurturing reciprocal professional ties in Israel and abroad.
In addition, in order to realize the National Intelligence Directorate's goal of formulating intelligence assessments in fields related to national resilience, the directorate runs a "joint intelligence center" format - a long-term, permanent conglomeration of several intelligence organizations and/or government ministries that will generate knowledge, perceptions, plans and joint actions on specific topics. This platform builds confidence, and allows shared creativity and value that is greater than the sum of its parts, and provides added value that each partner brings back to their organization.
