About
The Judea and Samaria district of the Ministry of Environmental Protection extends from Mount Gilboa in the north to Mount Hebron in the south, from the Jordan Valley in the east to the Green Line that delineates it in the west.
The unit functions as the Ministry of Environmental Protection's office for the Judea and Samaria District as well as for Gaza and its border crossings. It works with the Civil Administration of Judea and Samaria on environmental issues. The unit has the legal authority to implement Ministry of Environmental Protection policies within the Judea and Samaria region, within the administrative framework of the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories and the Civil Administration.
The Judea and Samara unit works to promote the protection and preservation of the environment in Judea and Samaria, and to manage the environment, natural resources, and environmental hazards in a complex geographical and political situation that involves cross-border environmental issues.
