About
Judea and Samaria
The Agriculture Office at the Civil Administration is responsible for the coordination and liaison with its Palestinian counterparts in the fields of veterinary medicine, plant protection, marketing, importing agricultural good, training seminars, and forestry.
The office handles the issuance of import licenses and coordinates the annual transfer of thousands of cattle and sheep to the Palestinian market in Judea and Samaria. This coordination greatly contributes to the reduction of meat prices and promotes competition between importers.
Each year, the office conducts training sessions Palestinian farmers in agricultural sectors such as strawberry and baby cucumber cultivation, pest control, and more. The office conducts all relevant meetings for various agricultural seasons, such as the olive harvest and plowing season, and coordinates the marketing of agricultural produce to Israel and abroad.
The unit works in cooperation and coordination with foresters operating on behalf of the Palestinian Authority. These foresters, working in all forests of Judea and Samaria, conduct regular supervision and enforce the Forest Ordinance, in order to promote forest development and fire prevention.
