About
The Assets Acquisitions and Logistics Division provides government ministries and supported entities with the infrastructure and physical resources they need to carry out their duties and implement their tasks. The division conserves resources and takes advantage of economies of scale to provide resources efficiently, effectively, and on time. The division provides a high level of service, serves as a source of central supervision and controls, formulates appropriate doctrine and bylaws, and serves as the primary professional authority to secure the nation’s rights to its various assets.
Duties:
- Formulating and outlining policy in the field of assets (land), construction, acquisitions, and vehicles.
- Management and supervision of lateral areas of activity (parking garages, catering services, maintenance, security approach and so on).
- Management of special and inter-ministerial tender committees, various steering committees.
- Advancing and planning master plans and reforms in the division’s areas of responsibility.
- Preparation and establishment of infrastructure for emergency situations in areas of activity within the division’s purview.
- Management of real estate properties with various legal rights.
- Management of state properties abroad, through the Foreign Land Committee (including but not limited to delegations and embassies).
- Management and implementation of large-scale construction projects (government compounds, courts, and adjusted rent).
- Mapping state rights within the framework of land surveys.
- Management and evacuation of temporary sites established within the framework of the Disengagement Plan and realization of temporary structures.
- Management of government purchases and consumable and permanent material resources.
- Implementation and management of key engagements and framework contracts through key acquisition tenders.
- Leading and implementing reforms from the Tender Obligation Regulations.
- Management and maintenance of the government auto fleet.
- Management of central databases (appraisers, consultants and planners, contractors for small works, and recognized contractors).
- Establishment and development of information infrastructure and lateral professional tools (the Acquisitions Administration website for publishing the government tenders, the tender management system – NAAMA, digital tender filing, suppliers’ portal, price list for small-scale construction works and renovations, and so on.).
- Management of a central government database of state assets (land and vehicles).
- Training, instruction and professional guidance – lateral and central, in the division’s area of responsibility.
