The Israel Prison Service is the national detention authority of Israel. Beyond putting criminals behind bars, the Israel Prison Service also fulfills a social mission within the criminal justice systemף its mission is to enhance offenders’ potential for successful integration into society while ensuring them a safe, secure, and appropriate incarceration environment, respecting offenders' dignity and accommodating their basic needs, as well as providing them with rehabilitation services.
