The National Digital Program defines the government's main areas of activity for implementing the information and communications technology policy.
Lying at the core of the Digital Israel National Initiative, is the vision that Israel can reduce socio-economic gaps, accelerate economic growth, and promote a smarter, friendlier government, by leveraging the digital revolution and advancements in information communication technologies (ICT), making Israel a world leader in these areas.
The National Digital Program was written in light of this vision, and reflects the Israeli government's digital policy for 2017-2020.
The digital program was designed to promote and integrate the Initiative's goals and scope of activity, and to serve as a digital compass for all ministries and government bodies. The National Digital Program will lay the foundation for the development of specific digital ministry and cross-sector programs.
This national effort is a culmination of extensive cross-sector collaboration, bringing together Israeli and international organizations from national government, local government, the private sector, academia, the non-profit sector and the general public.
