About
The Spokesperson and Foreign Relations Division is responsible for the Ministry's media activities and for the Ministry's relations with parties in the media and international levels.
- The Division is responsible for the relation with the media, and handles inquiries and requests by journalists addressed to the officials of the Ministry.
- The Division monitors publications about the activities of the Ministry and its units and is responsible for preparing official responses, corrections or clarifications, on behalf of the Ministry's units.
- The Division organizes press conferences and briefings, conducts media campaigns for the public's information and publishes many press releases. It is responsible for all information, advertising and marketing activities of the Ministry's units and also acts as an initiator, implementer, accompanier and/or moderator of the activities of the Ministry and its units in the communication with the public on social media: Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter.
Foreign Relations Department
The Foreign Relations Department at the Ministry of Labor manages the international interaction of the Ministry with countries and organizations, with the aim of sharing and accumulating broad knowledge in the field of employment and human capital, while promoting fruitful collaborations with a variety of state and non-state entities around the world.
Among the bodies with which the Department is in a consistent interface and initiates strategic activity, we can name, among others, the OECD, the International Labor Organization (ILO) and governments. The Department also participates in joining initiatives and organizations related to the Ministry's activities, including participation in international work conferences on employment issues, meetings of the Ministry's representatives with officials, promotion of reciprocal delegation visits, and management and signing of bilateral agreements. All this while taking a broad view of the needs of the Ministry and its goals.
As part of its activities, the Department provides service to the 12 professional units of the Ministry, including the Vocational Training Division, the Research, Strategy and Policy Planning Division, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, the Regulation of Professions Division, the Employment for Diverse Populations Groups Division, the Emergency Human Resources Division and more. The Department outlines the foreign relations of these divisions in practice, and develops them for the purpose of improving and upgrading their current activities, in accordance with the standards on the international level.
