In the framework of receiving scholarships for doctorates from the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration, doctoral students must integrate volunteering of 24 annual hours for the community.
Through volunteer activities, doctoral students become familiar with different groups in Israeli society and contribute their research skills.
Doctoral students who receive scholarships from the Center for Integration in Science are required to participate in various activities for the benefit of the community in areas of t their expertise. The scope of the volunteer work is 24 annual hours, divided according to the requirements of the location in which the student performs the volunteer work.
The volunteer work takes place during the first two years of receipt of assistance and is a condition for receiving assistance during the third year.
A request for continued assistance is considered with the attachment of an annual activities report from the volunteer location, which includes 24 hours of volunteer work.
It is necessary to inform the Center for Integration in Science of the choice, with an attached authorization from the volunteer framework, before beginning volunteer work.
